in the beginning.
this officially starts my blog. a bit of emma frost fan art. im not a big xmen fan, but with the wonderful styings and redesigns of kris anka for the x ladies, it seems i may pay more attention to the xmen.
ooooo this is perfect! attitude, the pose, flawless!
hmm, my modesty rant from a year ago is getting a spike in notes.
To what tactical function would a spy need her cleavage hanging out? Does it help a character who is an acrobat?
There is nothing inherently wrong with cleavage, but it needs to be based on either the characters personality or by what they do. I cannot stress this enough. It cannot just be cause the artist felt like drawing a zipper down."

And here’s some of the work that went into the batman piece. as you can see, i wanted a giant cape. but alas, production and physics problems or whatnot.
the true challenge for this piece, as well as the superman one, was to try to land on an iconic pose for the character. the general idea being that if this was the *one* batman product that sideshow would put out, what should that be.
one of the biggest pieces i worked on for Sideshow because this was our very first Statue for DC Comics after we got the contract (the joker one was a spec piece that was started way before i started with the company)
Here’s a Print I worked on with Fabian Schlaga. This is one of the truest Collaborations I’ve had on a piece ever, in which i started the sketch, then it bounced to Fabian who painted everything roughly, then i worked on the figure, and then he added the final touches.
You can also see some of the concept sketches I did for the piece from the very roughest of stages to final concept that was given to the sculptor.
bunch of talk about my life, career, etc.
AND some exclusive art from my time at sideshow. so yeah
Favourite Comics of 2011: Captain America and Bucky
Bucky sees his reflection for the first time… in a mirror the shape of Caps original shield. SYMBOLISM :P
koltreg asked: How do you feel about Batroc?
love’em. moustache, jumping around and kicking. love it.
ive also was able to see a bit of cap 2, particularly an action sequence with batroc and cap. and ill just say. guys. its amazing. just. the best.
therealsongbirddiamondback asked: Cap question. If/When they make a Captain America 3, what would you do as the premise?
haha hold on to your butts
okay so we start off with hydra, now under the control of baron strucker. arnim zola, viper, crossbones, zemo, and task master all work for him. they are looking for an old secret red skull base, in which they find a frozen daughter of red skull, sin. they also discover some experimental tesseract machinery, that with modern know-how opens up a doorway and releases the red skull into modern times. we now get giant hydra action as they attempt to take over the world. cap, bucky, natasha, falcon, and sharon fight back. we also see madripoor and hydra island. a lot of fighting. one of they tesseract machinery things sort of malfunctions and it pulls dum dum, gabe, peggy, howard, and the rest of those agents into the present and be awesome and whatnot.
captain america also gets legit wings on his helmet. actually, you can scratch everything said before this. just put the correct wings (protruding, not painted on) and its a perfect movie for me.
teethbone asked: sure you've gotten this a lot of the last few days - but I think an Anka Apocalypse redesign would be a thing to behold...
the funny thing about this, is back when i was back at sideshow working on concepts for the statue, i actually thought about what’d do towards a redesigned apocalypse and i couldn’t really come up with anything. just for me, id have to do a complete retooling of his look. i might try a small sketch or something if i have a second.
Inked my Wolverine from yesterday.
this is awesome jordan!!
