the DC trinity
Some redesigns for my version of the Justice League. Not finished, mind you.
But I should come back to these, I hate the aquaman and zatanna costumes I designed.
And I want to make some minor tweaks to the trinity.
here are some of the other sketches I did last year.
Before I started these, I was feeling I hadn’t drawn enough women, and I felt that I needed some more experience with that, so I began my weekly drawing assignment.
Not only was going to be doing these weekly, but with each I tried to accomplish a different goal i felt i was weak with. Black cat was leather, atom eve was perspective going away from the viewer, valkyrie was doing something casual, zatanna was bent legs, enchantress was gravity when lying down in perspective, sue storm casual sitting, supergirl more perspective, and arisa was bending over without being sexual in any way.
The greatest Team in the world.
Kate. Diana. Eve. Scandal. and Renee.
This started a few weeks ago from an idea I had when talking to a co-worker of mine at Nickelodeon. She and I were remarking how big fans we were of Kate and Diana and that lead to my realization that I would love to do a book with them, plus Eve.
From there I added Starling, because I remembered how much I loved her and the Secret Six.
and Renee, cause when Greg Rucka says a team needs Renee, you better add Renee.
Each costume was redesigned a bit too.
I made Kate a bit more formal. Heavily influenced by Yasmin Liang’s design.
Diana is more or less just a tweak of my older design. I definitely wanted to keep the Greco Roman Grappler aspect of her. More Wrestler than like a knight. I also wanted to give her a short hair cut, but she ended up looking better with an epic mane of hair.
Eve more or less is the same. I gave her a cage corset, just cause i like cage dresses. Made her slightly more fashionable.
Scandal I just wanted her too look more Ninja. nothing too large of a change. just some taste stuff.
and Renee, also didn’t have too much of a change, just gave her a bit more of a designed coat, rather than just a regular suit.
027 - Wonder Woman

warm up - wonder woman
So I’ve been hinting for like the last year on a project for SideShow Collectibles that I’ve had a big hand in and that I’m incredibly proud of, and here she is.
and by hand in, I mean art directed. There isn’t a single part of her costume or overall look that I didn’t have a hand in deciding on, and in terms of the costume, design. Sideshow was really smart in letting the person most passionate about the character sort of run point on directing the piece (especially with the DC trinity), so I was really happy with the room I was given with Diana.
EASILY the piece I’m most proud of that I’ve worked on at Sideshow.
The Sculptor you see is Steve Schumacher. By his hands was this piece born.
